We measure the pulse in fractions of air,
A millimeter of want on the edge of the tongue,
Not the vast hunger of oceans, but the rare,
Still architecture of a day just begun.
To touch the grain of a wooden sill,
To trace the shadow where the morning fell,
And live inside the quiet, breathing will
Of an unmeasured moment we know so well.
Măsurăm pulsul în fracțiuni de aer,
Un milimetru de dorință pe vârful limbii,
Nu foamea vastă a oceanelor, ci rara,
Nemișcata arhitectură a unei zile abia începute.
Să atingi textura unui pervaz de lemn,
Să urmărești umbra unde a căzut dimineața,
Și să trăiești în voința tăcută, ce respiră,
A unui moment nemăsurat pe care îl cunoaștem atât de bine.
